About

I build consumer technology and have spent my career moving between hands-on engineering, company building, and investing. I took Intuit's initial prototype through launch and beyond, then co-founded and built the technology behind an automated trading hedge fund. Today, I’m exploring what can make consumer software delightful again.

Consumer technology project

As a South Park Commons Founder Fellow, I’m building something to delight users again and exploring new directions in consumer technology.

Intuit / Mint.com

As Intuit’s third employee and first VP, I took an initial prototype through a successful launch and beyond, reaching more than 20 million users. I established and led development, QA, technical operations, and data science teams.

Bourbaki trading system

I co-founded and served as CTO of a proprietary algorithmic trading hedge fund. I built a low-latency trading system in Java, a Python research framework, a 600-core on-premises HPC datacenter, and a discrete-event market simulator. The fully automated system ran outage-free daily for more than 10 years.

Tally

I was close to Tally’s founders and contributed as an investor and advisor around the company’s launch.

Rescale investment

I invested in Rescale because the company was addressing a problem I had experienced firsthand while operating my own high-performance computing environment.
